Delegate Everything Except The Marketing

No matter what business you are in, you should be spending at least 30% of your time on marketing and finding new ways to get more business in the door.
It seems to me that almost everyone who is working hard but not making a lot of money, is hoping someone else will make them rich, someone else will sell their products, the newspaper will produce a miracle ad, the economy will get better, word of mouth will spread the message . . . what a load of baloney!
The only people who can make you rich are either too expensive to hire, or are in business making themselves rich. There are no miracles in business — just working smart and … marketing, marketing and more marketing.

Successful business people separate themselves from the crowd. Ask yourself…

• What is it about your business that makes it different from every other business around you.
• If you were a potential customer what would make you buy your products.

You must make consumers aware of the differences between you and your competitors.

Know your competitors and every move but don’t fall for the trap and copy them. Once you know what they are up to go off and do something completely different and better. That way you will stand out in the crowd and whatever you do different will become your unique selling point.

It will come down to the experience you give to your customers. There is not much difference really between one business and another…the real difference is the “experience.” The “behind the counter experience” or simply the service plus the product difference becomes your brand.

A “brand” or the experience provides a sense of identity. A shared language and a means of achieving aspirations. It’s the difference between you and your competitors.
It’s what you become known for.

Janine Allis of Boost Juice says….” There are many juice bars- what makes your brand stand out in the crowd is the perception of the product and the experience of the service.

We are the product of our own thinking and attitude. Program yourself to succeed and you will succeed. Be focused and be willing to step outside the ordinary especially in your marketing as this will put you ahead of the others.

Personify your brand as you are the brand. Think big and be willing to “jump off the cliff.”
